He's a fusion of walrus, vampire bat, and Coelophysis, and though I tried to stay true to the original, I took liberties with the wings.

The Desmodobenophysis can reach nine feet from snout to tail tip in males, females being around two feet shorter, but are surprisingly light, owing this fact to air sacs inherited from their dinosaurian component, which also increases the efficiency of each breath. Despite this, they are not good flyers at all, and mainly only take to the air to reach other feeding grounds, usually lakes, rivers, or coastlines, otherwise walking with their strong wings and
legs, able to move surprisingly fast, pumping themselves forward with their powerful flight muscles. although they usually wade, searching the substrate for crustaceans or molluscs, or even fish, they are capable swimmers, beating their half-extended wings up and down, and paddling with their legs.

Males court groups of receptive females with a growling bellow, interspersed with surprisingly shrill squawks, and if they are impressed, will join his harem, leaving after copulation and giving birth to a single, relatively precocial pup after 8 months, which is raised without any male help. The young are nursed until six to eight months old, and will stay with their mothers for another year, being fed by regurgitation at first, but quickly learning to forage on their own. Females reach sexual maturity at around three years old, the males taking up to five, but not breeding until eight years old, and reaching full size at ten. Outside the breeding season the females associate in loose groups, the males being rather solitary.
